![]() ![]() He called the nurses and I told them so they got me out of the tub and into bed at which point I was 9cm. I was in there for maybe 10 minutes and I told my husband I felt like I needed to push. They then had me walk to the delivery room which took me forever bc I had to stop for each contraction and I definitely did not want to walk that far! The nurse asked if I wanted to try the tub (I didn’t have this chance with my first) so I said sure. They said they were going to admit me but they kept me in triage to put my IVs in (they wanted me to have 2 bc of something from my last pregnancy). They did not come back to check me until almost 8am at which point I was 6cm and my contractions were 3 minutes apart. They said they wanted to monitor me for an hour to see if my contractions were progressing my labor(I get this bc I was 4cm at the doctors office), but I was in triage for over 2 hours and this makes me mad bc of how the rest of my labor and delivery went. When they checked me at 6 am, I was 5cm dilated. Once we checked in and we were brought to triage, my contractions were 5 minutes apart. ![]() We had to take my 2yr old to my brothers before going to the hospital. My contractions started 15 minutes apart and slowly got to 7 minutes apart. So explain my experience, at my 39 week appointment, I was 4cm dilated and 90% effaced. But the doctor was literally only in the room when I pushed and she didn’t even deliver my baby, the midwife did. Unity has 18 doctors on call so it doesn’t matter how many doctors are at the office you go to. I could feel my contractions and could move my lower body. I was immediately taken to a delivery room(I don’t know the exact reason). With my first, I was never taken to triage. First let me say that this is my second child and my first experience was way different in a different state. Some of my experience was good and some was not so great. I am a bit disappointed in my experience. I am not sure if you’ll read this now, but I delivered at Unity on the 12th. ![]()
